Earlier this month, Boston-based writer and local fashionista Alexandra Hall launched a new digital lifestyle magazine appropriately titled Coup Boston. In her editor’s letter, Hall provides insight into the meaning of the word coup (as in coup d’état) which is described as a highly effective, unexpected stroke or act. A clever action, accomplishment or successful revolution. Coup Boston is indeed unexpected, but much needed. In a city crushing for that cosmopolitan connection, the online quarterly has it covered with features on fashion, beauty, décor, dinning and destinations.
As I devoured each page click by click, I was mesmerized with the issue’s intoxicating blend of bold images, fashion-forward content and luxe living stories. This is exactly what Boston’s social scene has been craving — a gorgeous glossy gleaming with grandeur. Coup Boston is certainly an accomplishment and it will no doubt be a successful revolution. Hats off to you, Alex!
