[eltd_dropcaps type=”normal” color=”” background_color=””]I[/eltd_dropcaps] remember my first Tiffany & Co. piece like it was yesterday – a charm engraved with the words “Return to Tiffany” and suspended from a linked, sterling silver bracelet. The euphoria surrounding me as I untied the delicate white ribbon swirled snug around the teal box was a moment in time worthy of a capsule. My first baby blue box. This was epic for the teen who adored dresses, savored style and never left home with a little bit of lipgloss.
“Return to Tiffany” was the “IT” arm candy of the 90s and every girl who was any girl had one. And every girl who was any girl longed to reenact that legendary stroll in front of the famed Fifth Avenue flagship with a frothy cappuccino in one hand, flaky croissant in the other and jewels as far as the eye could see.
Dressed in a rich sapphire suit adorned with hints of silver, I joined Boston tastemakers for an evening of champagne, confections and Christmas cheer at the store’s Copley Place location. Holly Golightly would be elated. I was too.
Tiffany & Co. has been a purveyor of fine jewelry for more than 175 years. And this season is no exception as the luxury brand reintroduced Atlas – a revival of the iconic collection first launched in 1995 which draws inspiration from the clock on the jeweler’s building. Greek mythology combined with the collection’s signature Roman numerals are what make Atlas unique.
