Chic of the Week is taking you over the edge this week with a glimpse into Hervé Léger’s fresh frocks for fall 2013. Last Saturday at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, designer Max Azria unveiled evocative aesthetics such as bare midriffs, lace appliqué and fur cover-ups. It was quite a shift from the sleek silhouette of the body-con craze that has long been synonymous with the Léger label.
A promenade of patterns packed a punch in black, ash and snow; while structured baseball caps added a seriously stallion feel. I loved Azria’s visionary mix of sporty meets spice. And the designer’s intricate beadwork woven with satin, leather and lace left me breathless. I’m so longing for more Léger in my life.
Max Azria’s BCBGMAXAZRIAGROUP made haute history in 1998 when the renowned American fashion house acquired French couturier, Hervé Léger. Nearly a decade later, Azria propelled the luxury label with a progressive and promising spin. The Hervé Léger by Max Azria collection was first introduced at New York Fashion Week in 2008 and has since pioneered the world of style.
