Spring has finally sprung and to usher in the season, I’m featuring the glamorously chic home of Ana Antunes — Portuguese television host, interior designer and style blogger. Situated in Lisbon’s fashionable Chiado district, Ana’s apartment-style adobe is a mix of pretty pastels (think soft smokes, lovely lilacs and peony pinks) and family functionality (she’s a wife and mother).
“The space is a perfect mix of old historic architecture with a modern glamourous decorating approach,” Ana said in a recent interview with Adore Home magazine. “The light in this house is breathtaking and the view over the Tagus River and the bridge is amazing.”
Ana’s home reminds me of a sunny spring day. I love the abundance of natural light that pours into each room and the ornate accessories that add colorful bursts of happiness at every turn. Ana’s décor certainly fits the style and sophistication that is Chiado. If you’ve ever visited the artistically chic quarter, you know that it’s best known for local fashion houses, art galleries, bookshops and cafés. Personally, Chiado is one of my favorite Lisbon neighborhoods.
